Customer Service & Sales Specialist

STIR is seeking an office furniture enthusiast who likes working in a fun, fast paced, professional environment, possessing a sense of humor to fill a customer-focused service and sales position.

About the Role

The ideal candidate must be passionate about the design industry and have excellent customer-service skills. Candidate needs to love working with people, be detail oriented, and possess excellent verbal and written skills.  This position requires a patient yet quick learner who is honest, authentic, and highly organized.

Candidate should be an energetic and creative team player who can also work independently in a small office environment. This position supports all aspects of the day-to-day operations of contract furniture manufactures representatives.  This includes customer service, sales support and assisting with business operations.   The owners of the business will supervise this position directly. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00

Candidate should have interest and ability to become educated on our furniture lines. This knowledge is critical for this position to provide optimal product solutions to our clients and be successful in the role by providing customers with product direction and product quotes.  Developing and maintaining relationships with manufacturers, dealer sales representatives, A&D, and end users is paramount.

Support sales and marketing efforts by assisting in presentation materials, ordering lunches, setting up the meeting space, welcoming guests, coordinating samples with our librarian, and responding to product inquiries from customers.  Prepare monthly sales forecasts, reporting and tracking to manufacturers.

Responsibilities Include:

Develop quotes for all requests within 24 hours of inquiry

Provide product recommendations for customer inquiries

Answer phones

Maintenance of sales reporting, contact information and project tracking in SalesForce Communication with manufactures to support customers

Consistent maintenance and organization of S-Drive {our local server}

Management demo chair requests

Maintenance of physical status of STIR studio

Assist in scheduling appointments as needed
